This is a job like no other! Working as part of the Christchurch regional team based in our Riccarton office, working with a variety of jobseekers to gain sustainable employment. We are committed to mana motuhake (self-determination), whilst respecting the role of the whanau in many cultures and communities.
No two days are the same with Employment Consultant’s delivering end-to-end employment services, from sourcing jobseekers, pre-employment preparation and finding solutions for barriers, through to job applications, brokering job placements and in-work support.

Workbridge has been the largest New Zealand-owned employment agency for disabled people and people with an injury or illness for over 90 years. We have 110 employees, operating in 22 centres throughout New Zealand.

About you - Mōu
You should have stacks of motivation, be self-driven and comfortable working autonomously whilst still being part of a team. We work in an outcome-based environment, so you will need a track record of delivering on targets, both individually and within a team.
You will be able to engage, coach and motivate jobseekers to identify their strengths and employment opportunities; and have a real passion for actively engaging with local employers by cold-calling to generate employment opportunities.
Ideally you will have experience working in mana-enhancing ways with diverse groups of people. Knowledge and understanding of the disability and health sector is desirable, however we know that some of our most successful Employment Consultants have come from career backgrounds that include sales, government, training, business development and industry.
What's in it for you - Nōu te rourou
You will be rewarded with a starting base salary
between $58 - $64k, plus the ability to earn a further $6-$10K with achievable
on target earnings. There’s also the added
